Bounded rationality in adoption of bibliometric criteria: blindness to small changes
The plan for this STSM roots in the papers of Serge Galam, mainly focusing on two different aspects: one on the role played by the stubborn in opinion dynamics, and the other on the issue of bounded rationality. We are going to examine the influence in scientific production, when driven by bibliometric criteria, and set up a dynamical system that considers:
- The preferences, driven by bibliometric criteria;
- The interaction, driven by bounded rationality
- The resistence, driven by stubborness
We are going to study the steady states an the dynamics, under the aforementioned conditions. The visit will allow the exploitation of the possible usage -in the evaluation of research- of Tailor Based Allocations (TBA) for multiple authorship, where each author gets only a specific fraction of the total number of citations according to its fractional paper allocation.
