August 23, 2015 - September 5, 2015

Dr Fernando Loizides, Cyprus University of Technology,Limassol (CY)  visits Professsor Milena Dobreva, University of Malta, Msida (MT)

During Dr. Loizides’ visit, there will be five main stages to the mission.
Stage 1. Introduction from Dr. Dobreva to the teaching material and curriculum employed in Malta for Information Visualisation Studies.
Stage 2. Meetings with each member of staff involved in teaching or research in information visualisation will be carried out to identify individual experiences and opinions about the course structures and teaching methodologies.
Stage 3. Workshop using SDDP (Structured Dialogue Design Process) for the creation of a roadmap. This stage will involve stakeholders from the Maltese Bachelor and Masters courses and will aim at bringing together different perspectives of the course and how they can be created.
Stage 4. From the previous stages an online questionnaire will be created and sent to students that have undertaken an information visualisation related course in Malta to elicit feedback and also further requirements for the course. In order for the feedback to be completed within the allowed timeframe (and for stage 5 to include all the data required) the students will be pre-selected and informed to complete the questionnaire within two days.
Stage 5. The final stage involves both country members analysing the results from the first four stages and creating a structured report of the findings which possibly would be discussed also with a wider group of KNOWeSCAPE management committee members. During this process, any gaps in the findings will be complemented by re-taking interviews and meetings with the stakeholders for clarification.
